I had so much fun going to Crate and Barrel and Pottery Barn Kids for inspiration as I planned for how I wanted to put together our daughter’s nursery. As soon as we found out she was a girl- I knew I wanted to go with pink! But there are so many different styles and themes from organic and natural to very pink and very floral, I eventually decided to do a glam, blush and floral nursery theme.

I’m absolutely obsessed with the Crate and Barrel Kids Campaign Collection. I got their white campaign crib (pictured here), dresser and bookshelf for her room. We went with a white glider, and it’s actually a very durable, woven fabric that also came with an ottoman that we didn’t order. I really wanted some natural elements to contrast all of the white and blush, so I selected this curvy cane side table from Shades of Light. The curtains are a velvet blush by Ralph Lauren, and you can get them on Overstock here. The door in the corner is her closet. I’m still working on organizing it- and will do another post about it at a later date.

I wanted to feature a piece of quality art that we can incorporate into her room for years to come, and I absolutely love this custom piece from Kendall Kirk Art! A local Mississippi artist, Kendall was so easy to work with and matched our color scheme exactly! I’m so pleased with how it turned out.
I wanted my daughter’s furniture pieces to be easily transition to a little girl’s room, so I got a more glam dresser from Crate and Barrel Kids that can eventually turn into a vanity for her. Right now it has the changing pad on it, but once we switch out the changing table for a mirror and her hair things, I think it will be a cute place for her to get dressed. We currently keep the diapers, spare wipes, diaper cream, burp cloths, bips, etc. in the top three drawers.

Note that the lamb print is also from Kendall Kirk Art. The floating shelves and dresser are from Crate and Barrel. We went with an ubi steel diaper pail, and it really does seal the smell. The watercolor print of the “Mississippi Queens” is from Hi Y’all: Made in the South.

This nursery is also quite a large room, so it was hard to fill it! My mom suggested putting a daybed in, and I was reluctant at first. I didn’t want it to clutter the room, but we found this vintage wrought iron bed that had been in my grandmother’s house and it was the perfect size and style for her glam nursery. The brass knobs and white wrought iron matched perfectly.
It’s also a great place for additional adult seating when my husband or other visitors are in the room! Not everyone can sit on the glider :). I’ve been in nurseries before, when I went to visit the baby and all of the adults are sitting on the floor while the mom is in the glider!

The shelf is from Crate and Barrel and the white Sabrina baskets are from pottery barn. They are great to store her toys and books! She can also reach them easily and loves leaning over and pulling her toys out herself. We kept the middle of the room open so that she has lots of space to play and crawl!
This 14×36 monogram pillow was a splurge from peppermintbee on Etsy, but I love it! I think it will transition well to a double/full size bed when she gets a little older. I also ordered an extra panel of the Ralph Lauren Blush Velvet curtain and custom made the pillow covers out of that fabric myself. I think it really ties the room together.

I love this glass shadow box for the heirloom items. It also keeps the pewter shiny – the humidifier tarnishes those pewter items quickly!

My mom painted the fruit painting for us. The 4 framed pieces are illustrations from children’s books.
