If you’re anything like us, our social calendar has changed from wedding showers to baby showers, and now is full of one year old birthday parties! But for those that might not be around kids very often, or one who has a baby that hasn’t reached the one year old birthday mark, I encourage you to check out this list for some ideas for birthday party gifts!
Walking is coming soon (if not already here!)!
Most babies are getting close to walking around one year old, that means push toys and shoes are great additions to their nursery, and the parents probably didn’t get these gifts at the baby shower over a year ago! This age of babies is also into board books, teethers, and musical toys. Our daughter is obsessed with shaking these tiny wooden maracas we got her! (Similar product listed below)

Board books are life for this stage! Even at a year old, babies are still not quite ready for paper pages.

Drum $11.67

Teething is a big part of being a young toddler! Though these might seem like toys for younger babies, teethers are actually perfect for the one-year old stage!

Baby Shoes
To be safe, I’d either get size 12-18 months in a soft soled shoe and a toddler/walker size 5 in a hard soled shoe (Such as a Ugg Boot or Converse). Size 5 typically fits a 14-18 month old, so they’ll fit into them soon after their first birthday party!
We love this pair from Felix and Flora. To be safe, I’d recommend getting a size 12-18 months for a one year old.
These Native shoes are very popular for both girls and boys. $45
Stride Rite Mary Jane $55
See Kai Run $45
